Your Health & Safety Checklist

Is the pregnancy viable and is the pregnancy occurring in the uterus?

A positive pregnancy test is an indicator of pregnancy, not a verification. It's important to rule out an ectopic pregnancy or naturally occurring miscarriage before you take any medication, abortion drug, or before a procedure.

Have you been tested for STDs?

If you are considering carrying to term or considering an abortion procedure, ruling out an STI can prevent further infection or PID (pelvic inflammatory disease).

Do you know your Rh factor?

If you are Rh negative, you should receive a RhoGAM shot after an abortion is complete or once during your pregnancy and after you've given birth.

Do you know how far along you are?

This information determines the type of abortion and the cost of an abortion.  An online due date calculator can not accurately give you the information you need, including the location of the pregnancy or if it is ectopic. However, our centers can provide an ultrasound confirmation for you at no cost.

Do you know how late or how early can you take the abortion pill?

The abortion pill is FDA-approved through 10 weeks. However, it should not be taken before four weeks or if a viable pregnancy has not been confirmed. The FDA also warns against ordering abortion pills online or buying the mifepristone and misoprostol drugs from unsafe sources. While we do not provide or refer for abortion services, we can provide free ultrasounds and share the incredible resources and aid available to you during and after your pregnancy.
