Considering abortion?

Every woman’s body and experience is different. Before you decide, learn more, discuss your health history,  and get answers on what to expect during and after an abortion. You can also schedule a free ultrasound to find out how far along you are, which can determine the price and your options.

Your Health & Safety Checklist

Is the pregnancy viable and is the pregnancy occurring in the uterus?

A positive pregnancy test is an indicator of pregnancy, not a verification. It is important to confirm whether your pregnancy is progressing or if you’ve experienced a miscarriage via ultrasound before you take any medication, abortion drug, or before a procedure. If you’ve had a miscarriage, you will need medical follow-up to ensure you don’t face complications.

Have you been tested for STDs?

If you are considering carrying to term or considering an abortion procedure, ruling out an STI can prevent further infection or PID (pelvic inflammatory disease).

Do you know how far along you are?

This information determines the type of abortion and the cost of an abortion.  An online due date calculator can not accurately give you the information you need. However, we can provide an ultrasound confirmation for you at no cost.

Do you know how late or how early you can take the abortion pill?

The abortion pill is FDA-approved through 10 weeks. However, it should not be taken before four weeks or if a viable pregnancy has not been confirmed. The FDA also warns against ordering abortion pills online or buying the mifepristone and misoprostol drugs from unsafe sources. While we do not provide or refer for abortion services, we can provide free ultrasounds and share the incredible resources and aid available to you during and after your pregnancy.

An ultrasound can confirm whether your pregnancy is progressing, if you are beginning to experience a miscarriage, if the pregnancy is located inside the uterus, and verify how far along you are. If no intrauterine pregnancy is detected, you may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy—a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency medical attention. Ultrasound findings may also affect what medical options are available, including the type of abortion, or when prenatal care should begin.
